Annual Activities

Sindhu Seva Dal was doing different activities throughout the year.

2001: Sindhu Seva dal and Atur Foundation jointly organized interschool cultural dance competition on 17th February 2001 at Nehru Memorial Hall. Rolling Trophy and medals were rewarded to the winners. Eight schools of Pune and around participated in the competition. The annual celebration of Sindhi new year i.e. Cheti Chand was organized on Monday 26th March 2001 at B.J Medical College ground Pune. A variety entertainment program by school children of St. Mira's Primary and Secondary, program by Priyadarshani Social Group alongwith a Sindhi Neha Musical Party from Mumbai was well appreciated by about 4000 people gathered at the ground. On this occasion Maj. Gen (Retd) P V. Cheblaini, Lt Col. Govind Nihlani, Mrs. Jotika Malkani were honored for their outstanding contributions towards the community. The Preeti Bhoj was arranged for one and all present on this function. In June Dal has distributed notebooks and uniforms in school. In the month of November Sindhu Seva Dal accorded sincere reception by offering Prasad and sweets to the Rath Yatra of Sadhu Vawani procession at the Padumjee Compound. 2000: On 14 Feb 2000 at Nehru Memorial Hall, Pune an Inter School Dance competition was organized jointly with Atur Foundation. This is the 6th year of the program. More than 8 schools of Primary & Secondary children participated and prizes were awarded to the winners of the dance competition. On the eve of Gudi Padwa day, the Sindhu Seva Dal organized "Blood Donation Camp" behind Dagdu Sheth Ganapati Temple Near R. M. Punjabi Opticians. On the 6th April (Thursday) the Sindhi new year (Cheti Chand) was celebrated at Amar Avinash Complex, Opp. Residency Club by a variety entertainment program such as Cultural dances musical party from Mumbai (Shri. Suresh Kumar) which was attended by about 3000 Sindhis and other communities. On this new year Mr. G. H. Sainani (Eminent Cardiologist Mumbai), Dr. Devidas Advani, Eminent Cardiologist, Pune, Shri. Prem Advani social worker were honored for their outstanding contributions towards the community. In the month of November Sindhu Seva Dal accorded a reception of the Rath Yatra of Sadhu Vaswani procession on the birth celebration of Sadhu Vaswani. In June Dal has distributed notebooks and uniforms in school.
