Annual Activities

Sindhu Seva Dal was doing different activities throughout the year.

1989: Cheti Chand was celebrated on the 8th April 1989. A cultural programme was presented by Rim-Zim Party. Mr. AnkushKakde the Mayor of Pune was the chief Guest. Maha Pandit K. T. Jaitley a prominent Sindhi literary figure was felicitated by Shri. S. D. Wagh, Editor of Maharashtra Herald. Prominnet Sindhi citizens like Mrs. Meena Kriplani, Principal of St. Mira's English/Sindhi Medium High School and Mr. Tej Parwani, corporator of PMC were felicited on the occasion as a tribute to their work for the betterment of the Sindhi Community. A Preeti Bhoj was organized on this occasion. As usual notebooks were distributed to needy students in the month of June. Blankets and clothes were also distributed to the flood affected people of Bhaja through the collector of Pune.

1988: A Sindhi cultural program was presented by Master Atmaram and group on the occasion of Cheti Chand on 19th March 1988 at Mira Society Ground. Students of Navin Hind High School. Also presented a half an hour entertainment program. Dada Gangaram, Chairman of Sadhu Vaswani Mission was the chief guest on the occasion. Mr. B. K. Ajwani, prominent social worker and businessman and Mr. B. F. Budhrani, Principal of Navin Hind High School were felicitated and were presented with mementoes. A Preeti Bhoj was organized for members of the Sindhi Community on the occasion. In the month of June 1988, notebooks were presented to needy students of Navin Hind High School, St. Mira's High School and Jai Hind School Pimpri.

1987: Sindhu Seva Dal was established in January 1987. A Preeti Bhoj was organized on cheti Chand (Sindhu new year) for all members of the Sindhi community on the grounds of the Mira Society, Shankarseth Road. A small cultural cum variety entertainment program was presented by the students of Navin Hind High School.
